Dever Architects designed renovations to adaptively re-use this stone house for its new life as a hospice residence. Taylor’s website describes this mission well: “Taylor Hospice Residence, first opened in June 2001, has provided a "home away from home" for hundreds of patients requiring compassionate, end-of-life care. The Residence was designed to meet the needs of our patients and their families when remaining at home became too difficult or unsafe. It is also, simply, an opportunity for families to spend quiet time together with their loved one without the worry and strain of care giving responsibilities.”
